Orangery Maternity Session

One thing I regret when I was pregant, was making the decision not to have a maternity shoot!  Looking back, I would have loved to have documented the anicipation of preparing for the new arrival not to mention celebrating such a special moment in our lives.  Capturing alll those pretty and tiny items of clothing and a nursery which I had sat in so many times waiting for my preciouis little milk drunk baby to settle into.

Today we are sharing a beautiful maternity session with a beautiful backdrop, soft natural hues, and gorgeous orange trees, yes orange trees!!

From Yavanna (mother-to-be): This shoot was nothing short of perfect. From the outset, Irena helped me plan, curate and style the tiny details that made all the difference on the day. I had actually spent the morning before the shoot in hospital due to ongoing problems during my pregnancy and arrived anxious and a little overwhelmed... Needless to say, those feelings soon disappeared when I met Irena, her soft and approachable persona put me at ease and allowed me to enjoy what turned out to be once of my last days of pregnancy. My absolute favourite image from the session is the image of my grandmother's engagement ring delicately captured as I hold my bump. Irena and I have become great friends since this shoot and I will forever be grateful for the stunning work and beautiful friendship she has brought into my life.

My background is as a wedding & lifestyle photographer, shooting both digital and film to create authentic, soft and natural fine art photographs. Working primarily with natural light to give my work a beautiful, light and airy touch infused with soft tones.

I have always appreciated and valued the simple things in life and finding the interesting in the ordinary.  Coco Lane was founded as I wanted to create something that is about an experience, the slower pace of life, cosiness and candlelight, cuddling up on the sofa with loved ones, being with the people you love, sharing food with close friends, a feeling of home, nurturing a chosen career, wanderlust travels, savouring the small moments in everyday life and just being you and enjoying a cup of tea.

I'm excited to bring you stories that promote all those moments in life that give us value and meaning; inspiring  us to live beautifully.

"I began to realize how important it was to be an enthusiast in life.  If you are interested in something, no matter what it is. Go at it full speed.  Embrace it with both arms, hug it, love it, and above all become passionate about it.  Lukewarm is no good" - Roald Dahl
