Marrakech is one of those cities I personally would love to visit and today fine art photographer Anouschka Rokebrand Photography takes me there with her beautiful photography. If I close my eyes I can smell all the spices in the marketplace and visualise the vivid colours and textures that Marrakech has become so known for.
From Anouschka Rokebrand Photography: In November 2015 I wanted to take a little break and I picked going to Marrakech. It had been on my wishlist of places to visit for years and I recently heard from a few friends how amazing it was.
Flights booked, Lonely Planet ordered and after extensive research on Tripadvisor (seriously, if you don’t know this site and need to book a hotel somewhere, go check out this site! It’s my travel bible!) I booked the incredibly amazing Riad Idra for my stay.
This Riad blew my mind. Honestly. I have stayed in so many hotels around the world, some simple motels, others luxury 5 star hotels but none of them even came close to this Riad. It’s insanely amazing!
My few days in Marrakech were wonderful. Marrakech is overwhelming, it’s busy, it’s chaotic, but it’s oh so magical, enchanting and beautiful.
I wanted to buy way too many things (and the next time I’m bringing a bigger suitcase!), ate delicious food and drank gorgeous mint tea. I strolled around, visited beautiful historical sights, enjoyed lovely views and had a great time. I enjoyed a hammam scrub, learned a few words Arabic on the way, I helped a lady weave a carpet (and now I have my heart set on buying one of those…) and I was praising myself lucky I didn’t rent a car as I was being driven through the crazy traffic by either a taxi or the Riad’s chauffeur....
Looking for a bit of magic? Book a trip to Marrakech!

My background is as a wedding & lifestyle photographer, shooting both digital and film to create authentic, soft and natural fine art photographs. Working primarily with natural light to give my work a beautiful, light and airy touch infused with soft tones.
I have always appreciated and valued the simple things in life and finding the interesting in the ordinary. Coco Lane was founded as I wanted to create something that is about an experience, the slower pace of life, cosiness and candlelight, cuddling up on the sofa with loved ones, being with the people you love, sharing food with close friends, a feeling of home, nurturing a chosen career, wanderlust travels, savouring the small moments in everyday life and just being you and enjoying a cup of tea.
I'm excited to bring you stories that promote all those moments in life that give us value and meaning; inspiring us to live beautifully.
"I began to realize how important it was to be an enthusiast in life. If you are interested in something, no matter what it is. Go at it full speed. Embrace it with both arms, hug it, love it, and above all become passionate about it. Lukewarm is no good" - Roald Dahl
