Daisy Meadow

There's something so magical about watching your children play and become enchanted in their own little world of play and make belief.  This is one reason why we love fine art photographer, Katy Lunsford. Katy has the ability to capture images in a natural and beautiful way; capturing children being children!

From Katy Lunsford Photography: My favourite kind of children's shoot is one where children get to be children... nothing too posed or staged, beautiful natural moments in a pretty outdoor location with gorgeous light, images that evoke the essence of childhood. This shoot was actually of my eldest daughter, Sophie, who is about to turn 8. We had just moved from the UK to rural France and the fact that we were surrounded by fields and nature was pretty exciting and liberating. One evening there was the most beautiful light coming across the field behind the house, which coupled with the long golden grass and giant wild daisies (or whatever their technical name is!) made it the perfect location for some photos. Thankfully Sophie was feeling co-operative that evening (not always the case!) and agreed to play model for me - although once she realised it meant running and skipping through a field and picking wild flowers I don't think this would have been a problem! Photographing children is all about allowing them to play, to be themselves, to explore and have fun. So here is what we created that evening in our little daisy field. We are spoilt here in France for beautiful light and locations, whether it's splashing in rivers or running through wildflower meadows, strolling along cobbled streets or watching the sun set into the sea. I will be available for family shoots inbetween my weddings this summer, so if any of you are planning a holiday to South West France this summer why not get in touch and book a shoot to capture some special memories?

Katy Lunsford is a fine art wedding and portrait photographer living in the Charente region of South West France with her husband and two girls, and when not photographing pretty things she can often be found in her garden with a glass of chilled, pale rosé ;)

My background is as a wedding & lifestyle photographer, shooting both digital and film to create authentic, soft and natural fine art photographs. Working primarily with natural light to give my work a beautiful, light and airy touch infused with soft tones.

I have always appreciated and valued the simple things in life and finding the interesting in the ordinary.  Coco Lane was founded as I wanted to create something that is about an experience, the slower pace of life, cosiness and candlelight, cuddling up on the sofa with loved ones, being with the people you love, sharing food with close friends, a feeling of home, nurturing a chosen career, wanderlust travels, savouring the small moments in everyday life and just being you and enjoying a cup of tea.

I'm excited to bring you stories that promote all those moments in life that give us value and meaning; inspiring  us to live beautifully.

"I began to realize how important it was to be an enthusiast in life.  If you are interested in something, no matter what it is. Go at it full speed.  Embrace it with both arms, hug it, love it, and above all become passionate about it.  Lukewarm is no good" - Roald Dahl
