Floral Workshop

It's no secret among my friends and family that I'm inspired by beautiful flowers, from their colours to their shape, texture, and scent.  I've always found that when working with flowers my creativity is given a nudge and I feel a new lease of life.

Fresh flowers add a lift to any space and connect us to one another, so it makes perfect sense that we find pleasure in displaying them at home and at special events.

It's therefore no surprise that I would high recommend inviting your girlfriends together and booking a floral workshop.

A floral workshop with friends is a perfect opportunity to sticking your creativity hat on, enjoying a laugh together and nurturing friendships all while you learn to arrange your own pretty floral design using beautiful seasonal flowers.

The ever so lovely Joanne Truby offers floral masterclasses covering a range of different designs, from bouquets, table centrepieces and flower crowns to Christmas wreaths. During each class, she teaches you all the techniques needed to make your very own creations which you can take home and keep.

Recently I had the pleasure of photographing her tailored 1:1 workshop, where she focused on the technique of bouquet making and creating a pretty autumnal coloured centrepiece design.

My background is as a wedding & lifestyle photographer, shooting both digital and film to create authentic, soft and natural fine art photographs. Working primarily with natural light to give my work a beautiful, light and airy touch infused with soft tones.

I have always appreciated and valued the simple things in life and finding the interesting in the ordinary.  Coco Lane was founded as I wanted to create something that is about an experience, the slower pace of life, cosiness and candlelight, cuddling up on the sofa with loved ones, being with the people you love, sharing food with close friends, a feeling of home, nurturing a chosen career, wanderlust travels, savouring the small moments in everyday life and just being you and enjoying a cup of tea.

I'm excited to bring you stories that promote all those moments in life that give us value and meaning; inspiring  us to live beautifully.

"I began to realize how important it was to be an enthusiast in life.  If you are interested in something, no matter what it is. Go at it full speed.  Embrace it with both arms, hug it, love it, and above all become passionate about it.  Lukewarm is no good" - Roald Dahl
